Welcome To Oshakati Town Council
Oshakati Town Council is located in northern Namibia. A vibrant town and serves as the regional capital of the Oshana Region. Established in the early 1960s, and proclaimed as a town in 1992, Oshakati has grown into a crucial hub for commerce, education, and health services in the region, hence the slogan “the commercial center of the north”.
The town has a population of 58,696 people (Preliminary census report 2024), serving over 200,000 people from its catchment areas. Oshiwambo and English are the dominating languages spoken in the town and surrounding areas.
